Airport Security Officer: Unarmed Patrol Documentation

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers, staff, and visitors. You will report observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and observe activities to help identify unauthorized access, unusual conditions, and potential security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years).
- 1+ years of Airport Security Experience.
- 21+ years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
