GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dynamic, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team at the Tulsa International Airport in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

About the role

The Ramp Supervisor will lead, direct, and coordinate the efforts of ground, line, and cabin service personnel to ensure the timely delivery of all contracted airline services. The role involves accountability for safety, operational standards, policy implementation, client relations, and financial performance for ramp operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish shift assignments for full-time and part-time employees.
  • Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment.
  • Report functional and mechanical discrepancies on ground support equipment.
  • Coordinate with assigned carriers to meet cargo and baggage service needs, ensuring on-time schedules.
  • Ensure equipment is in safe and efficient operating condition.
  • Confer with supervisors and managers to coordinate activities across departments.
  • Determine manpower requirements and conduct disciplinary procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Maintain compliance with attendance and tardiness standards; perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints.
  • Ensure necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage routing tags.
  • Follow and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations.
  • Brief crews on flight positions and operations before flights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least 6 months of computer experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to navigate electronic devices such as computers, fax machines, printers, and timeclocks.
  • Proven track record in supervising a business unit.
  • Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
  • Working knowledge of ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance issues.
  • Experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Previous ramp or airline experience.
  • Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment.
  • Must clear an FBI fingerprint background check.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically fit to perform duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  • Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
  • Willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.

Schedule

  • Must be flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.

Pay

Starting pay at $22.00 per hour (part-time).
