Airport and Aviation Planning Intern

About the role

Garver's Aviation Planning Team is seeking a motivated aviation management student as an Airport/Aviation Planning Intern to join our team in San Antonio.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced airport/aviation planning professionals and industry leaders
• Receive training from senior planners in airport master plans, airport layout plans, feasibility studies, safety management systems, sustainability planning, business planning, and airport policies/finance for both general aviation and commercial service airports
• Visit Garver’s Aviation project sites
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting industry
• Engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network
• Participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, empowering you to prioritize your overall well-being
• Give back to your community through volunteer activities as part of our Garver Gives initiative
• Enhance your professional growth by collaborating with Garver's Learning and Development team, which offers tailored training and programs, including skills-based courses, designed to support your development

Requirements

• Must be pursuing an aviation management or comparable degree; other majors will be considered if applicant demonstrates a focus on aviation through completed coursework and other academic and/or professional activities
• Strong desire to pursue aviation planning
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
