Responsibilities
- Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday 4:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Oversee the wheelchair operation to ensure all passengers requiring assistance are served in a manner exceeding expectations.
- Assist passengers in moving luggage to their vehicles, taxi stands, parking shuttle stations, and rental car stations.
- Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates.
- Roll customer-occupied wheelchairs safely down the jet bridge.
- Ensure wheel brakes are in place prior to allowing passengers to exit the wheelchair.
- Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports.
- Follow dispatcher gate orders.
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude and be attentive to each passenger’s individual needs.
- Avoid any problems, questions, or concerns by assisting passengers.
- Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities.
- Exceed customer service standards.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- At least (1) one year of supervisory experience.
- Airline experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300lbs up and down inclines throughout the shift.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to clear a background and drug screen.
- Able to obtain an airport badge.
- Appearance Guidelines: Professional business-like image, no visible tattoos or body piercings, clean & well-maintained uniforms must be worn on shift.
- Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, Peripheral vision, Ability to adjust focus.
