Aircraft Systems Installer

About the role

The Aircraft Systems Installer position at Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) in Mobile, AL is responsible for the systems installation of aircraft for the final assembly line. The role involves preparing mechanical components, installing and manufacturing various parts, inspecting bonding, checking system functions, and specialized tasks in areas like belly fairing, flaps, air conditioning, fuel system, MLG & tank test gauging, and hydraulic lines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical components at the station/work place/aircraft parking space
• Install and manufacture: mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical components and parts
• Inspect bonding as per order/GTI, drawing and specifications
• Check system functions
• Specialized in one of the following areas: VTP and HTP installation, Hydraulic lines installation, Installation in the Area of the Belly fairing and Flap installation, Installation concerning Air conditioning and Fuel system, MLG & Tank Test Gauging Test
• Other tasks as needed

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Experience: 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent
• Training: Completed vocational training (Mechanics/Systems) or relevant experience

Skills

• Knowledge of System/Mechanical tasks
• Good knowledge and experience in LEAN practices
• High degree of flexibility
• Ability to work under high pressure
• Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
