Airbus is looking for an Aircraft Electrical Installer to join the Manufacturing team in Mobile, Alabama.

About the Team

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities assembles the A220 and A320 Family aircraft across two (soon to be three) production lines. On the shop floor, you’ll work alongside individuals passionate about aviation and skilled in electrical, structural, and quality disciplines.

Working Environment

The Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility, located at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, opened in 2015 and produces A320 Family aircraft. A second production line for the A220 was added in 2019. This facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and supports Airbus’ strategy to meet customer needs globally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tests and inspections, including:
    • Preparation and change of programs
    • Checks of system functions in compliance with work orders
    • Inspection of earth connections
    • Continuity tests, including ground test inspection
    • Start of operation, troubleshooting, and debugging
    • Entry of measured values and documentation in the SAP system
  • Install and produce electrical components at the station as per order, including collecting, reading, comparing, and setup.
  • Prepare electrical components at the station or workplace according to work order, including:
    • Marking, preparing, laying, connecting, assembling, bundling, painting, and soldering of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
  • Adapt, torque, and secure electrical components, including:
    • Equipment panels, printed circuit boards, and sections
    • Documentation of works and queries (e.g., PIR Book, outstanding work folio items)
  • Responsible for sequencing and performance of work and subsequent results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent (e.g., Shipbuilding, Heavy Machinery, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Aviation, MRO Aviation).
  • Citizenship: Authorized to work in the U.S. without future need for sponsorship.
  • Commitment to act with integrity and awareness of potential compliance risks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent (e.g., Shipbuilding, Heavy Machinery, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Aviation, MRO Aviation).
