Electrical installer

About the role

FORTNA is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lead to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the LPS Electrical Installation Lead, this role is responsible for overseeing and executing electrical installations in industrial and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform conduit and raceway installations
• Install devices and electrical power distribution systems
• Install fire systems and alarm systems
• Install data, networking, and CCTV systems
• Ensure project installation quality
• Adhere to Fortna and customer specifications
• Comply with OSHA and industry standards
• Enforce a superior safety culture
• Attend weekly toolbox talks
• Complete daily job hazard analyses (JHAs)
• Report incidents, violations, near-misses, and injuries

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in Industrial/Commercial Electrical installations
• OSHA 10 Certified
• First Aid, CPR Certification
• Experience with power tools, forklift, and man-lift operations
• Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and quality-focused

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certified
• Knowledge and adherence to electrical safety standards (LOTO, NFPA 70E)
• Experience reading and comprehending construction blueprints
• Experience reading and comprehending NEC and customer specifications
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, servos, motors, control panels, IO, etc.
• Experience with sorter and conveyance installations with maintenance
• Experience with industrial package handling installations
