About the role

As an Aircraft Nacelles Technician at DAS Aviation, you will perform a variety of mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including removal and installation of panels and components, troubleshooting system issues, de-fueling aircraft, engine removal/installations, and operating ground support equipment. You will also inspect and evaluate aircraft and components, assist in aircraft movement and performance runs, and maintain the shop facility, equipment, and tooling. Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Removal and installation of panels and components
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues
• De-fueling aircraft
• Engine removal and installations
• Operating ground support equipment
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills
• Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory)
• Airframe or Powerplant license (specific requirements vary by level)
• Reliable transportation to get to work each day
• Ability to work every scheduled day, including overtime and weekend assignments
• Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits

Qualifications

Experience and licensing requirements vary by technician level:

• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license required (Airframe preferred). 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar. Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects; requires close supervision.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license required (Airframe preferred). 2-4 years of experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft preferred but not essential. Considerable knowledge of general maintenance; requires general supervision on routine tasks and detailed instruction for new assignments.
• AMT III: Airframe license required; Powerplant license highly preferred. 4-6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance. Experience on corporate aircraft highly preferred. Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license required. 6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance with extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position. Overtime and weekend assignments may be required.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations (very cold to very hot)
• Occasional work outside during aircraft runs
• Varied positions in and around the aircraft, including small, restricted areas
• Standing for long periods, climbing ladders and stairs, and routine walking, bending, and squatting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
