Aircraft Mechanic - A&P (Days)
SUMMARY
Service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove and Install flight control surfaces and components
- Perform weight and balance including calculation of flight control surfaces
- Rigging and operational test of all flight control surfaces including autopilot
- Troubleshoot flight control systems
- Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify structures and flight controls
- Remove and replace landing gear, engines and air-conditioning systems
- Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify parts
- Rig landing and operational test gear systems and engine systems
- Troubleshoot landing gear, engines, hydraulic and air-conditioning systems
- Tow qualified preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Airframe and/or Power plant License preferred
Level of skill customarily acquired after completing ATS apprenticeship program or two years or more related commercial / military aircraft experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERY
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable with climbing ladders and aircraft stairs to access systems.
- Flexibility to sit, stand, kneel, or crouch as needed during tasks.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is $23.00 – $35.00 hourly/DOE, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
