A&P Aircraft Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of flight school aircraft.
• Complete all work in accordance with Company procedures and requirements, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Achieve and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Be flexible and willing to work all shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Hold an Airframe and Powerplant license at the time of hire.
• Obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hiring.
• Have at least three recent and consecutive years of GA experience as a certificated A&P.
• Prioritize Piper aircraft experience and G1000 experience is a plus.

Skills And Abilities

• Work independently and make airworthiness decisions.
• Manage workflow and adjust priorities as needed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on company aircraft.
• Make aircraft logbook entries and release aircraft for return to service.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office and learn Talon RMS computer maintenance program.

Equipment/Machinery Used

• General office equipment such as facsimile, copier, personal computer, etc.
• Vehicles including company van, trucks, golf carts, aircraft, etc., as required.
• Shop equipment and tools necessary for maintenance tasks.

Physical And Safety Requirements

• Work in various environments inside and outside the facility.
• Extensive exposure to aircraft, simulators, outside conditions, and equipment.
• May require medium lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing, bending, and stooping.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing schedules and instructions.
