Key Responsibilities
- Apply for air quality permits and modifications, and supporting calculations
- Ensure Compliance with Permit Conditions
- Attend applicable meetings, regulatory updates, conferences etc.
- Prepare Annual Emissions Reports
- Collaborate with GMs and REHSMs regarding operations, compliance and permitted equipment
- Follow agency updates such as, rule updates, reporting changes or NSR requirements
- Research/approve equipment changes/upgrades (ex. Refrigeration extraction)
- Manage 608/609 Program (Contract updates annually)
- Provide training to Regional EHS Managers monthly
- Audit facilities to ensure operation and permitting compliance
- Regularly review and update guidance documents/work instructions
- Work with engineers to ensure flow diagrams are updated and accurate (Use CAD to update applicable diagrams)
- Perform perimeter air monitoring when applicable
- Ensure maintenance of APCS and other air-related equipment (anemometer)
- Coordinate compliance testing (source test, fenceline, Industrial Hygiene)
- Review and update, when necessary, training materials on air-related topics
Qualifications
- Must have at least 2+ years in the air quality industry
- Must pass a medical physical and drug test
- Must pass a background check and credit check
- Preferred – bachelor’s degree
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
- Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
- An understanding of air regulations well enough to interpret, inspect, and train company personnel
- Possess interpersonal skills to gain support of workforce and clientele when conducting business
- Completed course work and Certifications that follows Air and Environmental regulations preferred
- Proficiency with CAD and knowledge of Industrial Hygiene preferred
Pay
The expected base salary range for this role is ($110,000 - $130,000). Actual offers will be determined by the candidate's relevant experience and education.

Physical Requirements
- Work Environment: Office, with daily visits through the scrap metal facility
- Equipment & Tools: Office equipment and safe operation of scrap yard equipment and machinery

- Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads
- Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste
- Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping, keyboard
