Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee air charter shipments from inception to conclusion, guaranteeing prompt pickup and delivery.
- Evaluate customer necessities and pick the most suitable transportation strategy based on timing, cost, and service prerequisites.
- Enter, update, and preserve precise shipment data in internal systems in real-time.
- Communicate pricing, timing, and logistics particulars clearly and professionally to customers.
- Collaborate with air carriers and other service suppliers to acquire capacity and confirm shipment arrangements.
- Maintain continuous oversight of shipment progress and proactively tackle any delays, disruptions, or exceptions.
- Prepare, review, and preserve shipping documents and audit shipment records for precision and completeness.
- Document all shipment activities accurately and in real-time to maintain a transparent record of each move.
- Escalate issues internally and externally as necessary to ensure service success and customer satisfaction.
- Provide responsive customer service and support throughout the shipment lifecycle, functioning as the primary point of contact.
- Operate with a strong sense of urgency to support time-sensitive freight for automotive and manufacturing customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A high attention to detail with the capability to manage numerous tasks concurrently.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
- Ability to pass a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or supply chain is preferred.
- Prior experience in a high-volume call or operations environment is advantageous.
- Exposure to air charter or expedited freight operations is beneficial.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or coordinating time-sensitive operations is preferred.
- Basic geography knowledge of major cities and regions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- The ability to remain calm, composed, and adaptable under high-pressure scenarios.
- Strong administrative skills and comfort operating within structured processes and systems.
