Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations (EO) Product Owner (PO)

About the role

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations (EO) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and validate development software for the Engagement Operations team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team.
• Work with Program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
• Work with the development team to establish acceptance criteria and functional tests to ensure QA/QC of software deliverables.
• Apply a basic understanding of Engagement Operations concepts, including engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
• Provide oversight to the EO software development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria.
• Work directly with Agile software developers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience performing the essential duties listed above.
• Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS, and familiarity with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services is a plus.
• Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
