Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO)
Responsible for prioritization and validation of development software for the Engagement Operations team. Reviews and understands Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, providing guidance to the development team. Works with Program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint. Provides technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and validate software development for the Engagement Operations team.
- Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team.
- Set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint in collaboration with Program management.
- Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and mission impacts.
- Oversee Engagement Operations (EO) software development and verify team work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria.
- Work directly with Agile software developers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in relevant duties.
- Basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts, including engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
- Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS, and familiarity with current EO implementations in one or more DoD services is a plus.
- Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
- Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.

Schedule
Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
