Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Team Product Owner (PO) - IFMC

About the role

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and provide guidance to the development team.
• Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
• Technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management.
• Ability to provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work directly with the Agile software developers.
• Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
• Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.

Qualifications

• Additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
• Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
