AlixPartners is a leading global consulting firm that helps businesses address their most complex and critical challenges. We are seeking an AI and Machine Learning Senior Vice President who is passionate about delivering high-value, complex opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
  • Executing machine learning projects using state-of-the-art methods
  • Extending company's data with third-party sources of information when needed
  • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
  • Data manipulation using common data science toolkits like Python, PySpark, R
  • Understanding and applying machine learning techniques and algorithms such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Collecting data from various corporate databases and parsing data from unstructured text documents
  • Automating tasks with scripts and organizing data with ETL processes, database models, and advanced dimensional schemas
  • Data analysis using advanced SQL skills, CTEs, and window functions
  • Reviewing and analyzing legacy code/scripts to understand data processing logic and business rules
  • Data visualization using tools like Tableau and Power BI
  • Telling a compelling story using visual charts and dashboards
  • Working with geographically dispersed teams and being a creative, innovative problem solver

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Desire to actively engage in geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to synthesize requests from team members at client sites
  • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar programming languages
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Alteryx, KNIME, SSIS, Pentaho, or DataStage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and travel if necessary
  • Willingness to work full-time in an office and remote environment
  • Physical ability to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours
  • Ability to work in an office and remote environment

Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Experience with common data science toolkits
  • Experience with cloud architectures and knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with distributed systems knowledge, especially HDFS and the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Ability to apply statistical learning languages to build predictive models
  • Proficiency in English
  • Other languages proficiency is a plus

Pay

The salary range for this role is between $160,000-310,000/year.
