Vice President – Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

The Analytics Lab is the center of excellence in AI/Machine Learning within Change & Solutions serving the Americas region. The Lab is playing a central role in the evolution of traditional ML solutions to Generative AI and Agentic systems, enabling more autonomous, scalable, and intelligent business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal clients to identify, prioritize and design high-value solutions ranging from specialized machine learning models to multi-agent systems.
  • Understand business needs and translate them into machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI solutions.
  • Be responsible for building end-to-end AI systems: framing the problem, prototyping the solution, deploying and monitoring it in production.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership.
  • Communicate technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contribute best practices for AI development, including evaluation practices, technical documentation, prompt engineering techniques, engineering standards, and design patterns.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, database manipulation (SQL).
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and libraries used for LLM / agentic workflows (such as LangChain, CrewAI, Google ADK, OpenAI Agent SDK).
  • Experience designing and implementing RAG-based systems including complex retrieval techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Understanding LLMs’ strengths and limits, including hallucination risks, reasoning limitations, and latency / cost trade-offs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Very strong work ethic and ability to deal with confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in deploying models or agent-based systems to production.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, …), ML/LLMOps (experiment tracking, tracing/observability).
  • Experience with containerization techniques (Docker & Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with guardrails, human-in-the-loop patterns, and AI safety/governance considerations in enterprise environments.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.

PAY

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $160,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
