About the role
The ideal candidate will have an interest in Genitourinary Cancer while managing other hematologic and oncologic conditions. Rotation of call includes both inpatient and outpatient work equally with other physicians.
Responsibilities
- Support one of the busiest Urologic Oncologic Surgical programs in the country, having recently completed 18,000 robotic prostatectomies.
- Access to infusion, radiation, and surgical services at Altamonte.
- Participation in multi-disciplinary clinics, research, clinical trials (including Phase 1), and tumor boards (daily).
- Collaboration with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
- Experience in Genitourinary Cancer management.
- Ability to rotate call between inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology-Oncology fellowship.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
