We are hiring an Agile Delivery Manager on our Application Services team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. This role serves as a strategic Agile leader responsible for driving Agile maturity, delivery consistency, and continuous improvement across approximately 10 technology teams supporting critical enterprise platforms and services.

About the role

You will partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, engineers, and leadership to improve planning, prioritization, and execution while ensuring teams remain aligned to shared organizational objectives. This position coaches teams on Agile best practices, serving as a key leader across an organization of approximately 70 technology professionals. You will influence delivery strategy, facilitate quarterly planning, improve backlog quality, and help leaders gain visibility into delivery progress and organizational outcomes. Your work will directly impact teams that provide foundational services used across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results.
  • Analyze, define, and document client requirements, and revise existing systems logic challenges as necessary.
  • Monitor client experiences and feedback on the use of business applications; enhance system productivity as needed.
  • Participate in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems that are cost-effective and meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in a professional environment.
  • 1 year of experience leading requirements development efforts.
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 1 year of advanced experience with operational analysis, design, and understanding of integrated, interdependent, and interfaced systems and their impacts on each other.

Skills

  • Knowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards to actively conduct and/or engage in hardware and software-related discussions relative to all assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
  • Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving in an Agile leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices.
  • Experience facilitating quarterly planning, backlog refinement, stakeholder alignment, delivery metrics, and Agile reporting through Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams in Agile best practices.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess requirements for completeness, accuracy, and implementation readiness.
  • Agile/Scrum Master Certifications (a plus but not required).

Schedule

This is a remote, work-from-home position. Candidates should be available to travel on-site approximately four times per year for planning activities and team collaboration. The final round of interviews will take place on-site at our Chattanooga, TN Headquarters.
