Agile Coach

Responsibilities

• Engaged with programs transforming from traditional to agile delivery models.
• Guiding teams toward improving how they work.
• Mentoring Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
• Educating all levels and roles within the organization on Agile principles.
• Advancing enterprise methods, practices, and tools as needed.
• Assisting with identifying changes to enterprise policies and standards to support agile software delivery.
• Facilitating cross-team coordination and collaboration.
• Driving visibility of information to help teams track their progress.
• Guiding teams towards a culture of full transparency of relevant metrics to all stakeholders.
• Fostering a culture of open communication.
• Contributing to the evolution of the company's agile practices, processes, and tools.
• Partnering with Engagement Management for Methodology Assessments and Agile Maturity Assessments.
• Offering recommendations based on assessments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery environments.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Coach or trainer in Agile environments.
• Experience with Agile Planning Tools.
• Communicative and social.
• Facilitative.
• Assertive.
• Situational Awareness.
• Enthusiastic.
• Continual Improvement.
• Quick Learner.
• Attitude of Empowerment.
• Attitude of Transparency.
• Ability to coach others in Agile fundamentals.
• Ability to coach others in backlog refinement, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
• Ability to coach others in incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Agile Certifications (CSM, CSP, CSPO, PMP, PMP-ACP etc).
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Oil and Gas Industry experience.
• Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions.
• Understanding of other processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.
• Participation in industry agile communities.
