Compensation
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays
Responsibilities
- Complete daily service requirements of lime and recycle plants for preventative maintenance issues
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed
- Operate loader and other equipment as needed
- Perform general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping
Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure
- Available to work overtime; extended hours and weekend work as required for timely project completion
- Flexible with work location; plants are portable
- Work with minimal supervision
- Work in all weather conditions; work majority is outside at a mobile crushing facility
- Ability to lift 95 lbs. infrequently, 50 lbs. frequently, and climb stairs/ladders up to 24'
- Use various electric and air-powered hand, welding, and cutting tools as appropriate
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with open-pit sand and gravel operations
- Working knowledge of aggregate production and associated equipment, and understanding of operations and safety requirements for the equipment
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Familiar with MSHA regulations; MSHA annual refresher training
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing
- For work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
