About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in operations, administration, and relationship management. As an Agency Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting agent onboarding, licensing, and contracting activities while building strong partnerships with agents and insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
- Licensing & Contracting Process
- agent contracting for health, life, and annuity carriers in an accurate and timely manner
- Track and follow up on pending contracts with carriers and agents
- Obtain and verify licenses; monitor and notify agents of upcoming expirations
- Maintain contracting requirements, SOPs, and carrier-specific guidelines
- Issue writing numbers, onboard new agents, and process terminations (with approval)
- Support agent onboarding & support
- Guide new agents through onboarding, including system setup, contracting materials, and training registration
- Respond to agent inquiries and provide ongoing support
- Maintain strong working relationships with agents, carriers, and internal teams
- Special projects and other duties assigned.
Data Management & Reporting
- Entering, verifying, and reconciling production
- Maintain and update agent records in database systems
- Ensure compliance with state DOI (Department of Insurance) regulations and carrier requirements
- Communicate updates as needed
- Prepare reports related to licensing, contracting, and agent programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Newly graduated from university and/or college
- 2–5 years of administrative, operations, or related experience (preferred)
- Experience with licensing, contracting, or insurance industry (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
