Agency of Choice Specialist (Program Analyst 2)
About the role
The Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) is an office within the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). ODDS provides new opportunities to link services for the growing number of Oregonians who have intellectual or other developmental disabilities. The goal of ODDS is to help individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities remain as independent as possible. Programs include employment, residential services, services coordination, program development, licensing and quality of care initiatives. Over 31,000 Oregonians are receiving one or more of these services in various programs located throughout the State.
The ODDS Licensing Unit oversees a statewide program responsible for licensing and the quality of care in programs serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This includes the licensing of adult and child foster homes, and 24-hour residential facilities. It oversees and is responsible for the Medicaid agency certification of agencies and the endorsement of 24-Hour Residential programs, Supported Living programs, Employment programs and Professional Behavior Support Services. It also certifies Support Service Brokerages throughout the state. Through licensing and certification, the ODDS Licensing team ensures that providers of services comply with requirements for federal and state reimbursement. The ODDS Licensing team conducts complaint investigations and determines necessary corrective action up to and including civil penalties or revocation of a license or certificate.
