Afterschool Youth Leader - Part Time
Key Responsibilities
- Plan & implement enrichment activities that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe and engaged.
- Supervise and interact with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and community service projects.
- Encourage teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence through structured group activities.
- Lead and participate in community service projects to teach responsibility and civic engagement.
- Provide outdoor recreational opportunities that promote physical activity, teamwork, and exploration.
- Ensure safety and proper group management using positive behavior techniques.
- Transport children safely using a 15-passenger van to and from school.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and youth participants.
What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High-energy, responsible, and passionate about working with children.
- First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Utah Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for transportation duties).
- Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred).
- Must demonstrate at least three strong leadership qualities.
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time positions available: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM (after school hours).
- Competitive Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, DOE.

About the Role
We are a licensed and NAEYC-accredited organization providing high-quality afterschool programs for children ages 5-12.
Requirements
Must have First Aid & CPR Certification (or willing to obtain), Food Handler’s Permit (or willing to obtain), Valid Utah Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for transportation duties), and pass a background check and drug test.
Qualifications
Must demonstrate at least three strong leadership qualities.
Skills
Must be fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred).
