Afterschool Care Teachers

About This Role

At Whitefield Academy Preschool, we are currently looking for employees to staff our afterschool program each day. We are looking for Christian employees to work in a Christian environment on a regular basis to provide quality care for our students.

What You'll Do

• Work with the Extended Care Coordinator in all daily functions of the program including getting ready before the program starts and cleaning up at the end of the day.
• Provide care of children, ensuring their health and safety, and direct all classroom activities.
• Provide a range of activities and follow lesson plans.
• Have positive, professional, and helpful interactions with the children and other staff members.
• Multi-task and be able to work from 3:00-6:00p.m. starting in August.

Requirements

• Ability to read, speak, and write English
• High School diploma
• Be able to stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time
• Be able to walk up and down steps
• Be able to lift 35 pounds when needed
• Church attendance and be able to provide a testimony when prompted

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Current TB Test
• Previous experience
