Afterschool Teacher

About This Role

Chroma Early Learning is seeking an After School Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for school-age children during our after-school program. The After School Teacher will supervise children, assist with homework, serve afternoon snacks, and lead fun activities that promote learning, creativity, and positive social interactions.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Absorb and provide encouragement and academic support as needed.
• Prepare and serve afternoon snacks while following food safety guidelines.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities.
• Foster positive relationships with children through patience, respect, and encouragement.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents and team members regarding children's daily activities or concerns.
• Follow all Chroma Early Learning policies and state childcare regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the program.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience working with school-age children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• The ability to supervise children in a safe, positive, and structured environment is essential.
• Dependability, punctuality, and collaborative teamwork skills are required.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for working with children are expected.
