About the role

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner, assisting guests with luggage (including delivery and pick-up during arrival and departure), and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time).
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor; uses guest last names during interactions.
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette (10% of time).
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed (20% of time).
  • Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility amenities and local attractions (10% of time).
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival (35% of time).
  • Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collects claim checks prior to issuing keys.
  • Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
  • Labels key tags with vehicle location after parking; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work (or within commutable distance).
  • One (1) month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic arithmetic skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money; understand 24-hour and military time systems; and calculate rates applicable to time passed.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking.

Skills

  • Customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail in vehicle handling and guest interactions.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including exposure to extreme heat and cold.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
  • Mobility to stand, walk, run, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.

Pay

The hourly base pay for this position is $10 per hour plus $12–$16 per hour in tips.

Schedule

Afternoon and evening availability required. Shift times may include:

  • 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Shift assignments depend on business volumes and will be discussed during the interview.
