Afternoon Babysitter for Elementary Age Child

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and engaging babysitter for our 8-year-old daughter in Memphis, TN, on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Since school is out for parent-teacher conferences, our daughter needs a fun and active companion while we complete some work.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun and active companionship for the child
• Take her on outings such as to the zoo or rock climbing at Highpoint Climbing, or plan a creative art project
• Alternatively, stay at home to play with dolls and Legos, read books, watch Netflix, or practice cheerleading dance
• Feed her a meal during the sitting period
• Ensure safety and supervise activities
• Be pet-friendly with the family Westie, Bowser
• Drive safely for any potential outings

Requirements

• Responsible and engaging demeanor
• Comfortable feeding a child a meal
• Pet-friendly (must be okay with a Westie)
• Safe driving ability for outings
• Ability to engage in activities like zoo visits, rock climbing, art projects, indoor play, reading, Netflix, cheerleading practice
