Afternoon Babysitter for Elementary Age

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and engaging afternoon babysitter for our 8-year-old daughter in New Haven, CT. This position requires providing approximately 12-15 hours of childcare support per week, usually Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with potential for additional weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation from school to home or activities
• Aiding with homework and educational tasks
• Preparing snacks

Requirements

• Proven childcare experience
• Clean driving record
• Reliable vehicle
• Auto insurance

Qualifications

• Experience with elementary-aged children
• Ability to interact with a golden retriever puppy (minimal)

Pay

Pay is dependent on experience.

Start and end times for an upcoming shift are August 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
