Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment for learning
- Implement curriculum for a variety of enrichment classes
- Establish good rapport with parents and participants
- Be a positive role model for youth in the program
- Collaborate with volunteers to lead delegation
- Transport equipment to and from school sites
Requirements
- Must pass YMCA background check
- Availability Monday–Thursday between 2:30–5:30 PM
- Possess (or obtain within 90 days) a current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques
- Must have reliable transportation
Schedule
Part-time, up to 29 hours per week, based on your availability.
