Responsibilities
- Support all phases of the development process, including site selection, feasibility analysis, entitlements, underwriting, and financing execution.
- Aid in preparing funding applications, financial models, due diligence materials, and project reporting.
- Coordinate with consultants, lenders, government agencies, and internal teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain awareness of affordable housing programs, market trends, and financing opportunities to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal affordable housing regulations and LIHTC requirements.
- Collaborate with development, construction, and asset management teams to help maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Provide mentorship and support to Analyst-level team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in affordable housing, multifamily development, or real estate finance.
- Working knowledge of LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, and affordable housing financing structures.
- Strong financial analysis, underwriting, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Argus, Yardi, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
