Aerospace Shipping/Receiving Clerk, 1st Shift

About the role

We're looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to play a vital role in ensuring materials, inventory, and supplies are where they need to be so our production teams can build high-quality aerospace components used around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Fill and/or create requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, and color or product code; marking materials with identifying information and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to pack stations or shipping department
  • Maintain accurate electronic inventory records; record amounts of materials shipped, or items received or distributed in the ERP system; keeping database system up to date in real time
  • Check-in and verify incoming shipments physically and make the accompanying electronic transaction in the ERP system

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of ERP shipping modules required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Certificate from a college or technical school directly related to the duties and responsibilities in an inventory-based position preferred
  • Minimum of one year of inventory experience preferred

Pay

Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets. Base salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
