Your Responsibilities
- Performs the physical and/or administrative duties involved in the functions pertaining to the shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items
- Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods and enters into the inventory control system
- Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse
- Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor
- Pick, wrap and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers before final packing for shipment and affixes identifying information to the packages
- Use various shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS
- Adjust to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Aid in monthly inventory cycle counting
- May operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
- Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment
- Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
- Receive and unpack materials and supplies
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes
- Complete shipping and receiving reports
Shift
1st shift; Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm
Requirements
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for safety compliance and job-related communication
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve as needed
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
- 3+ years of experience working with electric stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- Knowledge on how to operate material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18 – 22. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
