Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate entry of materials and goods received into inventory. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and thrive as a materials coordinator handling shipping, damaged goods, and returns. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all inquiries pertaining to shipments, orders, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Safely and properly package materials for shipment according to company standards
• Process items for delivery using shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders
• Determine shipping methods, priorities, and schedules using knowledge of routes and rates
• Review international shipping documentation for compliance with regulations
• Maintain timely, professional communication with internal teams and external suppliers
• Perform record-keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as needed
• Follow all safety policies and report any incidents immediately
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with sales, plant staff, and leadership
• Previous warehouse experience including forklift operation, packing, and measuring
• Familiarity with metals/material handling is a plus
• Safety-first mindset with basic knowledge of first aid/CPR
• Exposure to SAP, ISO standards, or Lean practices is a strong plus

Pay

$20–$24 per hour plus monthly bonus potential

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
