PURPOSE & SCOPE
Responsible for planning and scheduling jobs in the factory within standard practice, policy and SC&A Code of Ethics. The responsibilities will be focused on the planner’s value stream product line. Refer to the Quality Manual for additional responsibilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure Safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability
- Plan and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders
- Responsible for capacity analysis and material requirements planning
- Reviews demand to determine quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority
- Interface with Procurement and Production on material status and scheduling issues
- Aid in maintaining accuracy of the database
- Analysis Support – shipment plans, changes and effects, gross margin, cycle time, etc.
Job Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Associate’s degree at a minimum
- 4-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or related field
- Experience with production control, expediting, ERP systems, and MS Office applications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred, APICS/ ASCM Certification
