About the role
The Assembly Technician role is available for all levels of experience, focusing on hands-on work in a supportive environment. Tasks include production assembly, engineering assembly, receiving support, packaging, and shipping.
Responsibilities
- Performs mechanical assembly according to verbal and written instructions including fastening, bonding, and riveting
- Sets up and executes tests as needed
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Uses chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required
- Tracks hardware using the ERP system (Epicor)
- Assists with packaging and shipping of hardware and equipment
- Observes and adheres to safety and security procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Experience with basic hand and power tools, strong mechanical aptitude
- A strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Typically 2+ years experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
- Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn
- Moderate physical and repetitive work, standing for extended periods, use of stairs, occasional heavy lifting
- Valid driver's license
- U.S. Citizen
Nice to Have
- Experience with ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
- Previous experience in a high-paced, challenging work environment with high attention to detail
