Duties
- Welcoming and assisting elected officials and other special guests during the National FFA Convention & Expo.
- Working closely with dignitaries to ensure they have a positive and meaningful experience.
- Providing tours of key facilities such as the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indiana Convention Center, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and Lucas Oil Stadium.
- Explaining various competitive events.
- Supporting the Advocacy, Literacy, and Ag-Based Experiences team with initiatives like the Student Showcase Stage and Delegate Experience.
Requirements
- Team player with the ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Interact and work with a diverse group of internal/external people.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers.
- EFFECTIVELY prioritize, organize, use time-management skills, and be adept at multi-tasking.
- Confident in making decisions, accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze.
- Maintain flexibility and professionalism when dealing with changing or shifting schedules.
- Energetic, self-starter.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma required.
- SOME college or work/internship experience in the ag industry preferred.
- FFA experience required.
- STATE FFA officer experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry or agricultural education a plus.
- Experience with youth-based and/or alumni membership organizations a plus.
