Advisory, Epic Application Analyst - Compass Rose

As an Advisory Epic Application Analyst at Tegria, you will provide Epic application expertise to managed services and consulting clients. You will configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and support Epic applications to meet the needs of healthcare organizations, collaborating with stakeholders to analyze workflows, implement enhancements, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Epic Compass Rose Certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, providing timely updates and managing expectations.
  • Track and communicate decisions, contribute to change management, and ensure seamless transitions while minimizing disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Client Success Managers to assist with client requests and provide outcome data.
  • Assess client needs, goals, and current system build to identify necessary modifications.
  • Document business requirements and recommend solutions aligned with regulatory changes, insurance requirements, or IT updates.
  • Configure, test, and validate application modifications to ensure they meet functional requirements without causing downstream issues.
  • Advise clients on deploying optimized functionality based on best practices and EHR vendor recommendations.
  • Build, test, train, and implement new infrastructure, workflows, and policies.
  • Fully test and verify deliverables to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Document current processes, analyze gaps, and deliver actionable improvements.
  • Support clients during designated business hours and participate in after-hours on-call support as required.
  • Deliver high-quality Tier 2 routine maintenance and break/fix support in accordance with contracted SLAs.
  • Provide Tier 3 project support to multiple clients.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions aligned with industry and EHR vendor best practices.
  • Escalate issues to EHR and third-party vendors, building, testing, and validating vendor-proposed solutions.
  • Adhere to customer policies surrounding change control and build documentation.
  • Identify and escalate engagement risks related to timelines, resources, and other issues while creating mitigation plans.
  • Proactively notify team members and management of potential delays or obstacles.
  • Actively participate in and support efforts to build and maintain quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the knowledge base, workflows, and other documentation.
  • Report potential engagement expansion opportunities identified while working on assigned engagements.
  • Develop materials to support sales efforts as needed and help scope potential new engagements.
  • Track and report the measurable impact of work, ensuring value for both the client and Tegria.
  • Stay current with EHR system certifications and application knowledge.
  • Serve as an application lead as appropriate and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a healthcare-related professional certification or licensure, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience as an Epic application analyst or in Epic consulting.
  • Epic Compass Rose Certification (Required).
  • Preferred additional certifications in Epic Healthy Planet and Epic Ambulatory.
  • Experience working on multiple projects or clients simultaneously.
  • Expert knowledge of assigned applications and relevant workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical and business operations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Recognized as an advanced individual contributor and subject matter expert with a broad understanding of related areas.
  • Understanding of the interrelationships of different functions, departments, and disciplines.
  • W2 project-based consultants must provide a computing device that adheres to industry standards and security best practices.

Pay

$110,000 - $120,000
