Job Responsibilities

This individual will provide interpretation of placement test scores, prerequisites, college policies and procedures, academic requirements, and course delivery methods. They will assess student barriers and identify strategies for success while guiding students through course selection and the registration process. This position will also train students in the use of advising and registration tools, including Pathway, DegreeWorks, D2L, and Class Scheduler. This individual will work directly with students, faculty, and the general public while performing administrative duties related to the front desk, library services, troubleshooting equipment, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
  • Candidates must possess strong critical thinking, communication, and counseling skills, as well as an understanding of and appreciation for a diverse student population.
  • Creativity and the ability to problem-solve effectively are also required.
  • A master's degree and experience in Student Services are preferred.
