About the Role
Revenue Management at Cardinal Health strives to be a world-class revenue and profit optimization organization, driving revenue and profit growth by enabling the capture of appropriate value for the goods and services we provide. Revenue Management activities include strategy, deal management, and product pricing. The team ensures the "right" price, on the "right" item, to the "right" customer, through the "right" channel, at the "right" time, across thousands of items and customers through multiple businesses.
Exceptions Management operates within Revenue Management to develop pricing strategy and execute pricing operations outside standard contract pricing structures. This growing function drives a significant proportion of generic pharmaceutical sales and is expected to increase in importance due to its flexibility in applying creative new ideas.
Responsibilities
- Manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly product pricing processes.
- Cross-train and maintain operational readiness on the full suite of team tasks.
- Complete ad hoc requests and problem-solve.
- Assist with pricing inquiries and customer pricing setups.
- Work to integrate new technologies and strategies.
- Utilize, review, and update standard operating procedure documents.
- Work both autonomously and as part of a team to cover gaps and solve problems.
- Move swiftly between varied tasks while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while aligning individual processes with overall strategy.
- Develop subject matter expertise to deliver significant positive sales and margin impacts.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across functions such as IT, Marketing, and Finance.
- Research root causes for a wide range of problems and develop solutions for both ad hoc and planned needs.
- Execute to a high performance standard in a transparent and accountable environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a related field, preferred.
- Competence working efficiently with large datasets and analytics software.
- Experience with pricing strategies, processes, systems, customer deal economics, and financial modeling techniques, preferred.
- Experience extracting, manipulating, and preparing data from multiple sources to develop pricing strategies, preferred.
- Generic pharmaceutical industry knowledge is a plus.
- Driven, intellectually curious, and dedicated to seeking insights to improve value-driven operations.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and challenge the status quo.
- Ability to take responsibility and adjust as needed to meet KPI targets.
- Capable of working independently with general guidance on new projects.

Pay
Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $103,950.
