About the Role

Seeking Emergency Department physician assistants and nurse practitioners with 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine experience. Work in a collaborative environment alongside physicians and advanced providers eager to engage. Current national certification, DEA, ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required. An active Arizona state license is a plus. Providers will be cross-credentialed at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

• St. Joseph’s Hospital – Tucson, Arizona (first and oldest hospital in continuous operation in Arizona, since 1880)
• St. Mary’s Hospital – Tucson, Arizona
• Located on the west side of Tucson near downtown
• 2024 ED volume averages 80–90 patients per day (underserved population) with a 20% admit rate, 7% critical care
• STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Structural Heart Center
• 24/7 in-house hospitalists and intensivists
• Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation and Vituity scribe support
• Regional EMS base hospital, Inpatient Geriatric Psych Unit, and Bariatric Center
• Contracted hospital with Arizona Department of Corrections for inmates
