About the role
We are seeking a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Acute Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. This 100% inpatient position involves admissions and cross‑coverage for medical patients, working a night‑shift schedule while enhancing our Hospital Medicine Model. Clinicians are expected to focus on evidence‑based medicine to improve patient quality, safety, throughput, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examinations and provide care to assigned patients.
- Assess, diagnose, document findings, and write medical orders.
- Make clinical decisions related to patient management in collaboration with physicians.
- Participate in evidence‑based practices aimed at improving patient quality, safety, and experience.
Qualifications
- Acute Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credential.
- Experience in hospital medicine or a related acute care setting.
- Commitment to evidence‑based medicine and collaborative patient care.

Pay
Hiring range: $168,250 – $238,000 per year.
