Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology Nocturnist
About the role
Monument Health is seeking a full-time nocturnal APP to work at an established practice in Rapid City, SD. The position involves working 14-hour overnight shifts covering the inpatient cardiology service.
Responsibilities
- Assume primary responsibility in their respective specialty area under physician supervision.
- Manage selected at-risk or complex patients and aggregate patient populations in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide care on a continuing basis.
Requirements
- In South Dakota, certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) from the South Dakota Board of Nursing or as a Physician Assistant (PA) from the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners is required.
- One to two years of clinical experience and one to two years of healthcare experience are preferred.
- The ability to perform light work, including moving objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, is necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants must be fully licensed and certified in South Dakota. Training for new graduates will be considered.
Skills
Outstanding patient care and communication skills are essential. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is also crucial.
