About the role

Play a pivotal role in advancing wound care delivery within a rapidly expanding, multidisciplinary plastic surgery program. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact outcomes for complex patients while helping shape a growing service line in a brand-new clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive wound care management across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Perform procedures including wound debridement and advanced wound interventions
  • Participate in inpatient rounding with the wound ostomy care (WOC) team
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team spanning Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Structure and manage independent patient schedules and clinical templates
  • Partner with surgeons and specialists on complex reconstructive and wound cases
  • Gain exposure to advanced therapies, including topical oxygen therapy, skin substitutes, and innovative wound care modalities
  • Contribute to the growth, efficiency, and development of a rapidly scaling wound care program

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree as an Advance Practice Provider - Nurse Practitioner or as an Advance Practice Provider - Physician Assistant
  • Experience: One to two years minimum experience as an Advanced Practice Provider Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred
  • Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia

Qualifications

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Current PALS/NRP, as required specific to position
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required

Skills

Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.

Pay

$124,845.00 - $155,043.20 annually

Schedule

Ambulatory care: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Inpatient rounding: Tuesday, Thursday
