HealthcareFull-time

About the Role

Practice the highest level of oncology as part of one of the country’s best community cancer institutes, Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, which is part of Penn Medicine, home to the NCI-designated Abramson Cancer Center. Join the area’s leading oncology experts, advanced technology, and an array of services to guide and support medical oncology patients through the continuum of care.

This role will primarily focus on outpatient solid cancer management with some inpatient rotation at Penn Medicine’s Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute (ABBCI), a 90,000 square foot state-of-the-art cancer center providing medical, surgical, radiation, and palliative oncology under one roof. The institute includes 60 infusion chairs, 53 examination rooms, 4 linear accelerators, brachytherapy, CyberKnife M6, and the da Vinci® Surgical System. A new proton therapy facility opened in Fall 2022, making it the second site in Pennsylvania to offer this innovative radiation therapy. The medical oncology practice was among the first community-based programs in the U.S. to offer CAR-T cell therapy (established in 2022).

The inpatient oncology service is a collaborative, consult-driven team based at Lancaster General Hospital, a 525-bed, not-for-profit Magnet-designated institution.
