About the role
Nemours Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their General Surgery team in Wilmington, DE.
Responsibilities
- Function independently and collaboratively to provide general surgery and trauma care for patients from 0 through 21 years of age.
- Communicate with families and coordinate care in both the hospital and outpatient setting.
- Participate in trauma resuscitation and surgical and trauma consultations throughout the hospital.
- Coverage expectations include a combination of overnight, weekend, and day shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians' Assistants.
- A clear and active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Delaware or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- American Heart Association BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience, with a preference for experience in surgery.
