Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Critical Care Unit

About the role

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse with cardiac critical care credentials to provide specialized pediatric cardiac critical care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and resources.
• Document care in accordance with standards and policies.
• Participate in staff and student education and orientation.
• Assess patients through history, observation, and examination.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies, conduct health assessments, and provide patient care.
• Manage cardiac critical conditions with prescriptive authority or referrals, and plan discharges.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Credentialed Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in Cardiac Critical Care.
• Experience caring for children with complex heart diseases in a pediatric cardiac ICU.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, sensitivity, confidentiality, and teamwork with healthcare providers.

Pay

Salary starts at $120,000+.

Physical requirements include keyboard use, lifting, and working around biohazards.
