Role Summary
A Physician Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse with cardiac critical care credentials is sought to deliver specialized pediatric cardiac critical care within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and resources.
- Document care processes according to standards and policy.
- Participate in staff and student training.
- Obtain patient history, perform assessments, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Provide direct treatment, manage conditions through prescribing or referrals, and assist with discharge planning.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in Cardiac Critical Care.
- Experience caring for children with complex heart conditions is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and capable of working effectively with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality.
Pay
Salary starts at $120,000+.
