Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Critical Care Unit

About the role

Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in cardiac critical care, supporting pediatric and congenital heart disease patients.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and resources.
• Document care delivery following standards and policies.
• Participate in staff and student education and orientation.
• Obtain patient history, conduct assessments, and perform examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; develop care plans and discharge strategies.
• Provide direct treatment and manage conditions within scope of practice or via referrals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse with Texas Board credentials, or Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Experience caring for children with complex heart conditions in a critical care setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and capable of working with multidisciplinary teams.
• High sensitivity, confidentiality, and effective communication skills.

Pay

Salary starts at $120,000+.
