Responsibilities

• Directly manage the care of complex acutely ill patients via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Provide quality care, perform patient assessments, H & Ps, and take thorough medical histories
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimens, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care
• Perform approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges
• Work directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients, and families to ensure quality of care across the health system
• Act as a clinical team leader, intervening and managing deteriorating patients
• Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into scope of practice
• Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice
• Facilitate patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay, and improved patient satisfaction

Requirements

Degrees: Master's degree.

• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure
• 3 years of relevant RN experience
• Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure
• DEA License required as per specialty/function
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function
• Nurse Practitioner National Certification required
• Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location

Additional Qualifications

• Oncology, ICU, and ER experience preferred
• For Physician Assistants (PAs):
• Associate's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
• Valid Florida PA License
• NCCPA Certification
• DEA License
• BLS Certification
• Oncology experience preferred
• Must be compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure
• Must obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location

Pay

Estimated salary range for this position is $118,907.47 - $158,146.94 per year depending on experience.
